Goel Glass manufactures high-precision Borosilicate Glass Column Sections engineered for process columns in chemical distillation, fractionation, absorption, and scrubbing operations. In industrial glass column construction, column assemblies are erected using either standard pipe sections with separate support plates or dedicated column sections integrated with internal fused packing shelves.
Each column section is fabricated from high-purity Borosilicate Glass 3.3 and features an integral fused internal glass shelf designed to securely seat column packing supports (such as fused glass rod plates or PTFE perforated plates). This monolithic shelf construction eliminates the need for cumbersome external supports or metal brackets, ensuring exceptional chemical resistance, smooth fluid dynamics, and uncompromised visibility of column packing, vapor-liquid contact, and wetting performance.

Column Section with Thermometer Branch
For precise thermal profiling along distillation, stripping, or extraction columns, Goel Glass manufactures column sections equipped with an integrated thermometer branch located directly beneath the packing support shelf.
The thermometer branch is engineered at a downward 20° slope. This deliberate inclination facilitates smooth insertion of temperature sensors or glass thermometer pockets while preventing stagnant liquid or condensate from pooling around the sensor well, guaranteeing rapid thermal response and exact real-time process monitoring.
